No. NE-313(MZ) 2006-2008Re. 1/- per page NOTIFICATION No. B. 18018/2/2013-EDN, the 1st November, 2013.Wher eas the Govt. of Mizor am considers it necessary to institute State Award for Teacher Educators of DIET/SCERT of Mizoram, with the object of raising the prestige of teachers and giving public recognition to the outstanding contribution and meritorious services rendered by a teacher educator towards promoting teaching proficiency and for instilling a spirit of healthy competition a mongst teacher educators to rendering excellent services and for a s an incentive to other s. Now, therefore, the Governor of Mizoram is pleased to fra me the following scheme of “Sta te Awar d to Teacher Educators, 2013” which shall extend to the whole of t he State of Mizoram with immediate effect., 1.Number of Award- 1 (one) 2.Each award will carry a citation and cash award of Rs. 10,000/- which may be revised from time to time. 3.Date of Giving Away the Award : The award will be given away on the occa sion of Teacher ’s Day (5th September) or on any other day as decided by the Selection Commit tee. 4.Eligibility Conditions : (i)Teacher Educator with at least 10 years regular teaching experience in a recognized teacher training ins titution may be considered for this award. (ii)He/She should have author ed /co-authored a t least one book on Teacher Education and should have published at least 2 p apers on Teacher Educa tion in refrit journals/recognized journals/newspaper. (iii) Normally a retired Teacher Educator will not be considered for the award. However, those teacher educators who have served for at least 6 months in the academic year previous to the academic year to which award pertains to may be consider ed, provided he/she fulfills all other conditions. (iv) A teacher educator whose name was considered during previous year (s) may be reconsidered if he/she is otherwise eligible. However, one who has already been awarded this award once may not be considered for a second t ime. 5.Main consideration that should guide the selection : (i) Reputation in the institution (ii) Academic efficiency in his/her respective subjects (iii) Contribution towards fur ther improvement with focus on research (iv) Genuine interest towards t he promotion of teacher educa tion (v) Performance of tr ainees and feedback report of trainees - 2 - Ex-585/2013 (vi) Performance in capa city building programme of teachers (vii) Over all involvement in the field of educa tion 6.Proc edure for Selec tion Nomina tion for the a ward for a year ma y be invited thr ough advertisement in leading newspapers. Names may be forwarded by t he Progr amme Advisory Committee (PAC) concerned to t he SCERT in the profor ma attached as per schedule (t o be indicated in the advertisement). Any institute may forward two names to the S CERT in the proforma a ttached. Nomina tion ma y be cons idered by a Selection Commit tee constituted for the purpose. The Select ion Committee will consider all the candidates put forward by the Screening Committee. The final list will be decided by Selection Committee for the approval of the Govt.
