The Mizoram Appropriation (No. 2) Act, 2017 (Act No. 4 of 2017) (Received the assent of the Governor of Mizoram on the 31st March, 2017) THE MIZORAM APPROPRIATION (No. 2) ACT, 2017 AN ACT to authorise payment and appropriation of certain sums from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State for the services of the Financial Year 2017-2018. It is enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Mizoram in the Sixty Eight Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. This Act may be called the Mizoram Appropriation (No. 2) Act, 2017 2. From and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Mizoram, there may be paid and applied the sums not exceeding those as speci- fied in column (5) of the Schedule t o this Act , amounting, in t he aggregate, to the sum ofRupees eight thousand eight hundred three crore ten lakh twenty thousand only for defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment for the Financial Year 2017- 2018 in respect of the services specified in column (2) of the Schedule. 3. The Mizoram Street Vendor (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) (Repeal) Act, 2017 (Act No. 5 of 2017) (Received the assent of the Governor of Mizoram on the 29th March, 2017) THE MIZORAM STREET VENDOR (PROTECTION OF LIVELIHOOD AND REGULATION OF STREET VENDING) (REPEAL) ACT, 2017 AN ACT to r epeal the Mizor am Street Vendor (Protection of Livelihood and Regula tion of Street Vending) Act, 2011. WHEREAS the Mizoram Street Vendor (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2011 (Act. No. 4 of 2012) was enacted on the ba sis of model Bill provided by the Central Government to the State Governments and came into force on 24.01.2012. AND WHEREAS due to the fact that only 5 (five) states including the State of Mizor am enacted the said law and whereas it was considered, necessary by the Central Government to enact the law for the whole country the subject of which falls under Concurr ent lis t, the Centr al Government enact ed ‘The S treet Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act , 2014’ which extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir. NOW, THEREFORE, due to the enactment by the Centr al Government on similar subject, it is expedient to r epeal the Mizor am Street Vendor (Protection of Livelihood and Regula tion of Street Vending) Act, 2011.VOL - XLVI Aizawl, Wednesday 12.4.2017 Chaitra 22, S.E. 1939, Issue No. 167 - 2 - Ex-167/2017 It is enact ed in the Mizor am Legislative Assembfy in the Sixty-Eighth year of the Republic of India as follows, namely:- 1)Short title :This Act may be called the Mizoram Street Vendor (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) (Repeal) Act, 2017. 2)Repeal and Sa vings :(1) Mizoram Str eet Vendor (Pr otection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2011 (Act. No. 4 of 2012) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, all orders issued and all a ctions taken or purported to be issued or ta ken under the said Act, shall be deemed to have been taken, or purported to be issued or taken under the provisions of “The Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Str eet Vending) Act, 2014”. Total of 70.64 acres of land is required in the villages of Sairang & Sihhmui in the District of Aizawl for public purpose, viz, extension of Bairabi-Sairang Railway BG Line Project.

No. NE-313(MZ) 2006-2008VOL - XLVI Aizawl, Thursday 20.4.2017 Chaitra 30, S.E. 1939, Issue No. 168 NOTIFICATIONNo.K.12011/26/2011-REV,the 28th April, 2017.Whereas it appears to the Government of Mizoram that a total of 70.64 acres of land is required in the villages of Sairang & Sihhmui in the District of Aizawl for public purpose, viz, extension of Bairabi-Sairang Railway BG Line Project. Social Impact Assessment Study was carried out by State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD & PR) and a report submitted as per Section 4 of the Mizoram (Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement) Act, 2016 (copy of SIA Report appended at Annexure- II). A total of 1308 families are likely to be affected due to the land acquisition. The reason necessitating such affect is given below : “Construction of Bairabi to Sairang Railway BG Line by Northern Frontier Railways.” Therefore, it is notified that for the above said project in the villages of the District of Aizawl, land measuring 70.64 acres is under acquisition. This notification is made under the provisions of Section 11 (1) of the Mizoram (Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation & Resettlement) Act, 2016, to all whom it may concern. A plan of the land may be inspected in the office of the District Collector and Settlement Officer of concerned District on any working day during working hours. Objections, if any, to the acquisition regarding: i)The area and suitability of land proposed to be acquired. ii)Justification offered for public purpose. iii)The findings of the Social Impact Assessment Report. may be filled by the person interested within 60 (sixty) days from the date of publication of t his no t ificat io n as pro vided under Sect io n 15 of the Act before t he Dist rict Collect o r, Aizawl District .
