Extension of term of Committee on Naming of Streets, Roads & Villages in rural areas of Mizoram

The Governor of Mizoram is pleased to extend the term of Committee on Naming of Streets, Roads and Villages in rural areas of Mizoram for another period of 3 (three) years with effect from 10.9.2024 to 10.9.2027 consisting of the following members :-

The terms of reference of the Committee will be as below:-
1) The term of the Committee will be for a period of three years with effect from 10.9.2024 to 10.9.2027.
2) The Committee will recommend/propose names of places and villages.
3) Non-official Members of the Committee will be entitled to receive sitting allowance @ 500/- per sitting.
This is in supersession of the notification vide No. B.14016/18/2014-LAD/VC dt 12.1.2021.

Permission for Constructioon of Hostel/Dormitory facilities for essential staff and for Watch & Ward Staff in Industrial Zone

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 21 of the Mizoram Urban & Regional Development Act, 1990, the Government of Mizoram makes the following notification for all of the master plans made under the Mizoram Urban & Regional Development Act, 1990, within the state of Mizoram, as-
In Industrial Zones, construction of hostel/dormitory facilities for essential staff and for watch and ward shall be permitted.
This shall, henceforth, be applicable on the exercise of all Building Regulations in the state.

The Mizoram Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) (Amendment) Rules, 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 110 of the Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act 2015, (No 2 of 2016), and as approved by Council of Ministers in its meeting held on 09.08.2024, the Government of Mizoram hereby makes the following rules to amend the Mizoram Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2019, namely: -
1. Short title and commencement
(1) These rules may be called the Mizoram Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) (Amendment) Rules, 2024.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of rule 2:- In the Mizoram Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2019 (hereinafter referred to as the principal rules), in sub-rule (1) of rule 2,
1) Clause (iv) shall be omitted;
2) After clause (vi), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-
(vi a) “conflict of interest” means “a situation in which a person has a private or personal interest sufficient to appear to influence the objective exercise of his or her official duties and where such person shall be ineligible to be associated with any statutory structure defined under the Act.”
3) In clause (ix),
(a) For sub-clause(f), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely: - “(f) rescue, restoration and follow up”;
(b) For sub-clause(g), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:- “(g) social mainstreaming and rehabilitation”;
4) For clause(xii), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-
“(xii) Person-in-charge or Superintendent” means a person appointed for the control and management of the Child Care Institution”;

Corrigendum on the effective date of revision of VAT rates & levy of cess of Petrol & Diesel

In partial modification of Notification No.J.19011/2/2020-TAX dt.30.08.2024, the effective date of revision of VAT rates and levy of Cess on sale of Petrol and Diesel may be read as 03.09.2024 instead of 01.09.2024.
This issues with the approval of Hon’ble Minister, Taxation Deptt. Mizoram.

The Mizoram Electric Vehicle Policy, 2024

The Policy has been vetted by Finance Department vide their I.D FIN(E):TRP/281/2024 dt.02.09.2024.

I, Thangpuii W/o Lianhlira (L) R/o Khawdungsei, Saitual, Mizoram who is a major and a Christian by faith do hereby solemnly affirm and state as below:
1. That I am a bona fide citizen of India as such I am entitled to all the rights and privileges enshrined under the Constitution of India and any other law for the time being enforced.

3. That however, my name has been inadvertently recorded as Dothangpuii in my Pan Card No. JHSPD4670R issued by Indian income Tax Department, Govt. of India.
4. That the purpose of this affidavit is to prove and declare that my true and correct name is Thangpuii and should be recorded as Thangpuii in all of my important/officials documents.

Lalawmpuii

After executing a Deed in the prescribed form, the former name ‘Lucy Lalawmpuii’ employed as LDC under Kolasib Power Division, Power & Electricity Department, Mizoram do hereby assumed the new name of ‘Lalawmpuii’ and hereafter should be called, known and distinguish not by his formal name, but by the assumed name of ‘LALAWMPUII’.

Deletion of Taxation Dept. from the list of deptt. allocated to Dr. Vanlalthlana, Minister

Consequent upon the omission of “Taxation Department” from the First Schedule of the Government of Mizoram (Transaction of Business) Rules, 2014 under the heading “List of Departments” and from the Fortieth Schedule of the Government of Mizoram (Allocation of Business) Rules, 2019 vide notifications No. A.46012/1/2022-GAD dt.23.08.2024 issued by GAD, the Governor of Mizoram is pleased to delete “Taxation Department” from the list of Departments allocated to Dr. Vanlalthlana, Minister vide this Department’s Notification of even No. dated 08.12.2023.

Re-issue of members of District Level Task Force on Ruihhlo Do
