The Mizoram Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Rules, 2023
In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection
(1) of section 19 of The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 (Act No. 6 of 2007) and as approved
by Council of Ministers in its meeting held on 20.12.2023, the Government of Mizoram hereby makes
the following rules to amend the Mizoram Prohibition of Child Marriage Rules, 2010 as follows, namely: -

Members of the Mizoram Resource Mobilization Committee (MRMC)
In continuation of this notification dated
7.02.2024 on re- constitution of MRMC and in the interest of public service, the Governor of Mizoram
is pleased to appoint the following as members of the Mizoram Resource Mobilization Committee
(MRMC) in addition to the member appointed earlier with immediate effect and until further orders.
1) Pu Vanlalmawia, MCS, Secretary, Mizoram Public Service Commission
2) Dr. Lalrinchhana, MPE&SS, Principal Adviser - cum - Additional Secretary,
Planning & Programme Implementation Department
It is also notified that Pu Joseph L Ralte has been withdrawn from the list of MRMC members
appointed vide this notification dated 7.02.2024 as arrangement has been made for his appointment in
another important committee. Further, Pu Lalthuamliana Varte that appeared at SI no. 9 of this notification
dated 7.02.2024 should be read as Lalthuamliana.

Terms of Reference
1. The Policy Coordination Committee will consist a team of experts in policy matters and government
programmes. The Committee members will be entitled to TA/DA at the rate admissible to Addl.
Secretary to the Government of Mizoram while performing duties assigned by the Committee and
Co-opted members will be entitled TA/DA at the rate admissible to Under Secretary, Govt. of
Mizoram while performing duties assigned by the Committee.
2. The Committee will play a coordinating role with various departments to implement government
policies and programmes to achieve the core policy of convergence of the present government.
3. The Committee will act as an advisory body to various departments and do networking with supporting
agencies like financial institutions, service providers, technology providers, etc.

b. It shall provide direction, guidance and support to state departments for the accomplishment of
Sustainable Development and Reform Policy and submit recommendations to the Government as
required.
c. It shall determine plan priorities and advise the Government on the formulation of development
plans for the most effective and balanced utilization of State’s resources.
d. It shall guide the Government in linking policy with budgeting so that policy direction dictates
planned budgetary allocation to achieve developmental objectives.
e. It shall take up such other functions as may be ascribed to it from time to time.
Terms of Engagement:
a. Members of the Mizoram State Planning Board shall be entitled to sitting allowance at the rate of
Rupees two thousand per sitting
