In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the Governor of Mizoram is pleased to reconstitute the State Disaster Management Authority for Mizoram consisting of the following members with immediate effect:

TERMS OF REFERENCE :
1. The term of office of the State Authority shall be 3 years.
2. Powers and Functions :
Subject to the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the State Authority shall be responsible for the following.
i) Lay down the State. Disaster Management Policy.
ii) Approve the State Plan in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the National Authority.
iii) Approve the Disaster Management Plans prepared by the State Government Departments,
iv) Lay down guidelines to be followed by the State Government Departments for the purpose of integration of measures for prevention provide necessary technical assistance therefore.
v) Coordinate the implementation of the State Plan.
vi) Recommend provision of funds for mitigation and preparedness measures,
vii) Review the development plans of different State Government Departments and ensure that prevention and mitigation measures are integrated therein.
viii) Review the measures being taken for mitigation, capacity building and preparedness by the State Government Departments and issue such guidelines as may be necessary.
ix) Lay down Guidelines for providing standards of relief to persons affected by disaster in the State, provided that such standards shall in no case be less than the minimum standards in the Guidelines laid down by the National Authority.

Applicability of the provisions
In supersession of this department’s Notification No. A.47012/5/2009-L&E dated 05.11.2012 and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 1 of the Mizoram Shops & Establishments Act, 2010 (Act No. 14 of 2010), the Governor of Mizoram is pleased to notify the applicability of the provisions of the said Act under Labour, Employment, Skill Dev. & Entrepreneurship Deptt. to the whole of Mizoram with immediate effect and until further order.

Acquisition of land - Jameisury & Star Hill
WHEREAS, the Government of Mizoram issued Preliminary Notification vide No. K.12011/20/10-REV date 3.5.2012 and Declaration vide No. K.12011/20/10-REV date 29.10.2012 for acquisition of land belonging to 174 persons including location at Jameisury & Star-hill at Lawngtlai, for the construction of Border Out Post along Indo-Bangladesh Border.
WHEREAS, the proposed location at Jameisury falls beyond the fencing line.
WHEREAS, the proposed location at Star Hill could not be identified because of difference in Geo-reference position.
THEREFORE, the 2(two) locations i.e. Jameisury & Star Hill are hereby de-notified and excluded from amongst the locations which was notified vide No. K. 12011/20/10-REV dated 3.5.2012 and even No. date 29.10.2012.
WHEREAS, the Government of Mizoram issued Preliminary Notification vide No. K.12011/20/10-REV date 3.5.2012 and Declaration vide No. K.12011/20/10-REV date 29.10.2012 for acquisition of land belonging to 174 persons including location at Jameisury & Star-hill at Lawngtlai, for the construction of Border Out Post along Indo-Bangladesh Border.

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in supersession of the A.12018/16/2013-P&AR(GSW) notified in Mizoram Gazette extraordinary issue number 370 Dated 07.06.2019 in so far as they relate to the post of a) Commissioner of State Tax b) Additional Commissioner of State Tax c) Joint Commissioner of State Tax d) Deputy Commissioner of State Tax and e) Assistant Commissioner of State Tax except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Governor of Mizoram hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post(s) of a) Commissioner of State Tax b) Additional Commissioner of State Tax c) Joint Commissioner of State Tax d) Deputy Commissioner of State Tax and e) Assistant Commissioner of State Tax under Taxation Department, Government of Mizoram, namely:-
