NOS OF BOPs No.K. 12011/18/2017-REV/70, the 17th July, 2017.Whereas it appears to the Government of Mizoram that land specified in the Schedule shown below (herein after referred to as the “sa id land”) is likely to be needed for public pur pose, viz. for Construction of Indo-Bangla Border (IBB) fencing within Mamit Distr ict, by the BSF under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for maintenance of national security along the Indo-Bangladesh int ernational bor der; And whereas land is required for the project falling within the purview of sub-section (2) of section 40 of the Mizoram (Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement) Act, 2016 (hereinafter called the Act) : Now, therefore, the Government hereby notifies under sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Act that - 1.The said land is likely to be needed for the purpose specified above; 2.The acquisition of the sa id land is exempted fr om undertaking of the Social Impact Assess ment studies as p rovided under section 9 of the Act. 3.The Deputy Commissioner/ Collector of Mamit District shall conduct Preliminary Sur vey- of the land for the said project so as to acqu ire the minimum area r equired for the pr oject, if not alr eady done, as pr ovided under section 12 of the said Act, and shall also update all recor ds of lands within the land to be acquired within 2 (two) months from the date of publication of this Notifica tion, prior to publication of Declaration by the Government. 4.Any person interested in any land within the notified ar ea may file his or her objection to the Collector within sixty days from the date of publica tion of this notification as provided under section 15 of the sa id Act as regar ds - (a)The area and suita bility of land proposed to be acquired; (b)Justification offered for public purpose. 5.The Additiona l Deputy Commissioner, Mamit District is appointed as Administrator for the purpose of r ehabilit ation a nd resettlement of the affected families, if any.
