In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constit ution of India , the Governor of Mizoram is pleased to make the following r ules to amend the Mizoram Industries (Geology & Mineral Resources) Department (Group ‘A’ posts) Recruitment Rules, 2014 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Rules) relating to the recruitment to the posts of Director notified under No.A. 12018/44/2010-P&AR(GSW) dated the 28th January, 2015 published in the Mizoram Gazette Vol-XLIV Extraordinary Issue No.37 dated the 29th January, 2015, namely:- 1.Shor t title and Commencement(1) These Rules may be called the Mizoram Industries (Geology & Mineral Resources) Department (Group ‘A’ posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2015. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2.Amendment of Annexure-IIn Annexure-I of the Principal Rules under column 12, the following shall be substituted, namely:- “Column - 12- PROMOTION: From Joint Director, Geology & Mineral Resources with not less than 5 (five) year s of regular service in the grade failing which Joint Director, Geology & Mineral Resources with not less tha n 25 (twenty five) year s of regular service ca lculated from the da te of entry in any Gazetted post in the Department. Notwithstanding anything contained in these Rules, the Governor of Mizora m, in public interest, shall have the right and power to transfer any officer so recruited under these Rules to any other post or position which is equivalent in rank or grade. Where the Governor is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, he may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing and in con- sultation with the Mizoram Public Service Commission through the Depart- ment of Personnel & Administrative Reforms, relax any of the provisions of these Rules with respect to any class or category of persons.
